Watch the Staying Put online guitar lesson by Brad Carlton from Chord Studies: Flamenco Chords Vol. 3
This progression uses a fairly straightforward fingering structure based around an F# power chord shape, but harnessing the open third string to get that flattened ninth sound. Additionally, we use the pinky to articulate a toggle between the sharpened and natural fifth. By using a fairly planted hand position here, you can get that mysterious flamenco sound with minimal effort from your fretting hand. This is a great one to practice on breaks from some of the more demanding examples.
