Watch the On The Contrary online guitar lesson by Brad Carlton from Chord Studies: Flamenco Chords Vol. 3

In this example we start out with the B(add b9 add 4) which has a particularly flamenco sounding shimmer due to the minor second interval at play. When we change to the B chord, you'll notice some contrary motion as well, where higher voices descend while lower voices ascend. We'll also exercise the use of a "hinge barre" to get from the B(add b9 add 4) to the B and I'll explain how we can save some finger strength by utilizing a curled bar approach.
