Watch the Higher Powers online guitar lesson by Brad Carlton from Chord Studies: Evolving Triads Vol. 1

This is a I - IV - V in A so our chords are going to be A, D and E. Since we're getting higher on the fingerboard and the frets are getting closer together you'll notice that this create some challenges. On the A chord, you'll have to squeeze your two fingers together onto the 14th fret, and also be careful you don't bend the strings sharp. You can let the A note ring and change the fingers on the first and second strings to get the D chord. When moving the E, which is the V chord, your second finger is a guide as you move back a fret and then barre. Barreing three strings will help you keep your fingers upright.
