Watch the Notes Down Under online guitar lesson by Brad Carlton from Chord Studies: Evolving Blues Vol. 2
Here we start off with a B chord with an F♯ bass. You could choose to strum the chord and mute the fifth string, or you can hybrid pick it. That means you'll be using the pick on the lowest voice, and your remaining fingers in the fourth, third and second strings. This also applies to our third chord, the D with an A in the bass. Trying playing with and without the bass notes as well, so you can get comfortable with different stylings for this voicings.
