Watch the Third Base online guitar lesson by Brad Carlton from Chord Studies: Beginner Chords Vol. 1
In this pair of chords, we're looking at changing from a C chord to an F. Like the last example, you'll be spending a full four beats on each chord, but this example can be a bit tricky to get under your fingers. Your third finger will remain on the fifth string in the third fret as you change chords, working as your pivot finger here. Also, you may need to adjust your hand under the fingerboard to facilitate the "barre" of the first and second strings with your first finger as you change to the F. To "Barre" means to press down two or more strings with the same finger.
