Watch the Palm Side Mute online guitar lesson by Brad Carlton from Chord Studies: Beginner Chords Vol. 1
In this example, we'll play a G5 and a D Chord. On the G5, again you should be deadening the fifth string with the palm side of your second finger of your fretting hand. On the D, make sure you only strum four strings with your right hand. Also here, note that your third finger will be a pivot finger through the change.
