While you listen to my performance, let's talk about the amp I am using for this course. It is a Marshall 2061x 20 watt hardwired head reissue plugged into a Celestion 25 watt Greenback speaker. The amp is basically on about, or close to 10 and that is where the overdrive is coming from. I'm not using any pedals at all. That my friends, is the way to do it. Cranking your amp is the way to go, if you are able of course. A tube amp is designed to be pushed for it to sound its best, but that usually means loud which isn't conducive to keeping your hearing or neighbors happy. The reason why I like this amp is that it has a classic aggressive sound that we associate with Marshalls at a somewhat lower volume. Trust me, 20 watts is plenty loud as my friends in the front office of the TrueFire Studios can attest to! :-) But, this is the way Billy did it, so this is the way I'm going to do it!
