Watch the Jazzy Buffet online guitar lesson by Bill Evans from 30 Sax Licks for Guitar You MUST Know
Play around with triplets, like the way it's written here. You can turn any 4 eighth notes into triplets and see how they sound. In this line, lay back on the 2nd bar. Its another call and response type of line. This way your lines will make sense. Sometimes I sit down and play really slowly, creating line after line, starting on different notes, but staying in the same key. For guitar, do the same thing. This works on any instrument; whoever is the most comfortable doing this, sounds the best. Period.
