I’m going to incorporate some voodoo.

The lick is
a standard call and response technique. Notice that I use the G# in the first measure. Being the 3rd
of the E7 chord it gives the lick an "E" sound. I then move down to the first position
using the open E string to facilitate the move. In measure 5 I’m going to lower the G# to G natural.
This simple note change changes the sound to that of an A7 chord. I’m outlining the chord tones for
each chord. I’m using a descending chromatic chord shape for the turnaround.
