Watch the DG's Boogie: Solo 6 online guitar lesson by Steve Trovato from Voodoo Blues
I have added a greasy voodoo vibe to this solo by using quite a few
slippery bends, chicken pickin’ and double stops.
Be sure to pluck each string
hard for pop. Use blocking to keep the bent notes from ringing together. You’ll want separation.
Watch the on screen breakdown for the phrasing and note choices. Watch out for
the index finger bend in the "voodoo central" lick. I use light gauge strings for index
finger bends. The turnaround is played using descending diatonic 6ths.
