Watch the Solo #9 online guitar lesson by Corey Congilio from Solo Factory: Texas Blues

The next two solos will be a bit of a mishmash of licks. I took the lick we played earlier called Makin' Your Way. I wanted to show you how you can take a straight feel lick and manipulate it to work over a shuffle. Again, this lick covers the fretboard well and was a favorite of mine in my early playing days. I use this lick over the IV chord too! I then use the Anywhere lick Over And Over followed by another Anywhere lick called Here Or There. Again, I had to manipulate the lick Here Or There from a funky lick to a shuffle. I also target the root note of the V chord E at the end of the lick. You see, there are no rules, only suggestions.
