Watch the Solo #6 online guitar lesson by Corey Congilio from Solo Factory: Texas Blues
In this variation I wanted to changed everything. I guess I just got caught up in the moment of building solos! Hopefully you will too. I start out by playing the I chord lick Nothing Without This. This is a total SRV move and I felt that we had to include it in a solo example. I repeat it because well, repetition is a good thing! This lick is hip and warrants being repeated anyway. The IV chord lick is More Colors. We introduced this earlier and remember that this lick highlights those extra colorful tones like the 6th and the 9th. I wrap up this example with the V chord lick Need To Know. Since this slow blues is very SRV-centric, I thought I'd tie it together with this classic turnaround. Give it a shot!
