Watch the Messin' #2 online guitar lesson by Jeff McErlain from Solo Factory: Chicago Blues
Buddy Guy was born in 1936 and is still going strong. He started off on as a Chess Records session player backing Muddy Waters and others. He started a long time collaboration with Junior Well that has produced many legendary recordings. Buddy is one of the few guitar players who's vocals are equal to his playing. The sound he created early on we the blueprint for much of rock and roll as Beck, Clapton, Page, and Hendrix all openly admitted. Buddy has always played with a fire and intensity so it's obvious why the younger players flocked to his music.
