Watch the Breakdown 3 online guitar lesson by Andy Aledort from Slow Blues Power

Bar 2 ends with aggressively picked bends on the B string down in III (third) position; it is not common to bend the strings this low on the neck, but it provides a great sound, especially if one uses fingerpicking to snap the string against the fretboard, ala Albert King.

Bars 3 and 4 are played over the I (one) chord, B7, again, and here I go back to fast pull-off riffs utilizing hammers and pulls on the open strings liberally, wrapping up bar 4 with the same trills that began the solo. Bar 5 brings us back to the IV (four) chord, E7, but I stayed with the B Blues scale here, still using the open strings for a variety of fast hammer-on and pull-off licks.
