Watch the Blues in B: online guitar lesson by Andy Aledort from Slow Blues Power

Let’s move up one more half step, from Bb to B. B is a great key for slow blues; Jimi Hendrix recorded his blues classic “Red House” in B, and Jeff Beck used this key for his famous blues/rock masterpiece, ”Rock My Plimsoul.” One of the things that makes it a fun key to solo in is that the IV (four) chord in the key of B is E, so the open low E and all of the great open-string licks found within the key of E are available for exploitation.
