Watch the Breakdown 2 online guitar lesson by Andy Aledort from Slow Blues Power

In bar three, back over the I (one) chord, G7, I play a fast lick based on the G Blues scale (G Bb C Db D F), with the inclusion of the ninth, A. Across the majority of the first three beats, the line is based on a steady stream of 16th-note triplets, so each eighth note in each eighth-note triplet across these beats is subdivided into three evenly spaced notes: instead of ONE-two-three, you get “ONE-trip-let-two-trip-let-three-trip-let,” or “ONE-and-a-two-and-a-three-and-a” on each beat. At the end of the bar, I change the rhythm of the line slightly, in order to break things up and keep the solo sounding musical.
