Watch the Breakdown 5 online guitar lesson by Andy Aledort from Slow Blues Power

I keep the “sixths” idea going in bar 9, over the V (five) chord, G7, by using Mixolydian sixths in the key of G (G A B C D E F), starting on the high E and G strings and then moving over to the D and B strings in as seamless a way as possible. Sliding doublestops around in this way is a technique you can hear in the soloing of Jimi Hendrix, Jeff Beck, Johnny Winter and Eric Clapton.
