Watch the Breakdown 2 online guitar lesson by Andy Aledort from Slow Blues Power

Moving into bar 3, I use the same “pick-up” lick that was used to start the solo. Once into bar 3, I repeatedly bend and release the top three strings: starting on the downbeat of “one” at the beginning of the bar, I “pre-bend” or “ghost bend” the high E string up one whole step, and the B and G strings up one half step, fretting all three strings with the tip of the ring finger. This technique is intended to produce a very aggressive sound and must be performed with intensity and a very strong attack. If the technique of bending three strings at once is new to you, you will find that it will take some work to get those bends sounding consistent and even as they are played repeatedly.
