Watch the Pedal Point & Arpeggios online guitar lesson by Jeff Beasley from Shred Ahead Blues Rock

We can also apply the pedaling technique to the arpeggio to give it a different quality. Again as we play through the arpeggio we include a pedal tone or tones between each note as we ascend and/or descend. In these examples we are using one pedal tone for the arpeggio example and the scale example. You can use 1, 2, 3, or even four notes as pedals in a scale or arpeggio. This technique reminds me of classical music no matter what style of music it's used in.
