The symmetry in the fingering of the eleventh arpeggio makes for easy execution and incorporation into the pentatonic scale. It's outside the scale enough to really get your listener's attention and show some harmonic/melodic depth as well. I usually resolve from the eleventh to the third or fifth of the scale. This type of arpeggio reminds me a bit of Eric Johnson with the incorporation of some larger intervals in the arpeggio resolving to smaller intervals with the scale.
