These next two examples offer more examples of T-Bone's distinct style of improvised phrasing; this example begins by demonstrating T-Bone's ability to shift seamlessly from steady eighth notes to 16th notes and 16th-note triplets. Though all of these phrases are very clear-cut and right on the chords, it is actually quite difficult to perform these phrases with the effortlessness that is T-Bone's trademark.
Over the IV (four) chord in bars 5 and 6, arpeggio (broken chord)-like phrases made up of the notes of C7-C E G Bb-are followed by similarly phrased C6 arpeggios-C E G A.
