Watch the Solo 12 online guitar lesson by Matthieu Brandt from Jump Blues
This solo and accompaniment are by far the most complex we'll get into. The approach is jazzier but can still be played in Jump blues.
The chord progressions are the ones Freddie Green used to play in Count Basie's Big Band. Three note inversions of dominant 7th chords, mixed in with approach chords and 4-to-the-floor. A very challenging style.
The solo we're playing uses double stops and full chords. Because the chord progression has changed, we have to follow these chords. The standard riff is a great way to tackle these complicated changes.
