Watch the Set 6: Phrase B2 online guitar lesson by Mark Stefani from Jazzed Blues

How about generating some percussive excitement with just two notes and a modest string bend? This phrase is an outstanding illustration of how you can get maximum mileage out of a minimum of harmonic activity. It relies on some steady, sixteenth-note flatpicking and rapid movement between a pair of adjacent notes in the basic bar position. As with many of the previous phrases, this funky lick yields a lot of creative flexibility.
