Watch the Set 2: Phrase B1 online guitar lesson by Mark Stefani from Jazzed Blues
Sometimes the basic things are the best things in both blues and jazz, and this example is the epitome of simplicity in saying a great deal with a minimum number of notes. The lick centers on a double pull-off based in the traditional C blues scale, used as a repetitive theme and mapped through the entire, 12-bar progression. Jazzed blues is all about feel and not necessarily about speed or monster licks. So keep it tasty and work on saying more with less.
