Watch the Rollin' In Your Arms: Rhythm 2 online guitar lesson by Andy Aledort from Jam Night Vol. 3
The approach to rhythm guitar here is more of a standard "electric" approach, as small chord voicings on the inside strings are played high on the fretboard, articulated with muted strummed accents. I like to fill out the root chord, D by bringing in bits of G/B over D. I also alternate the strummed patterns with arpeggiated pattern when moving into the C to G part of the chord progression. The strumming throughout this example is very syncopated, so imagine hooking up with ghosted eighth-note snare drums hits when playing through this part.
