Watch the Crazy Stallions: Lead 2 online guitar lesson by Andy Aledort from Jam Night Vol. 3
The initial lick in this solo is built from a series of natural harmonics located on the seventh and 12th frets: I start on the seventh fret of the fifth string, move to the 12th fret of the third string, then back to the seventh fret one string lower, to the fourth string, up two strings to the 12th fret of the second string, back to the third string at the seventh fret and then up to the 12th fret on the first string. Be sure to allow all of these pitches to ring simultaneously, as this will create the sound of a Bm7sus4 chord over the Bm. Additionally, I alter the pitches by depressing a vibrato-ing with the whammy bar. I expand the melodic environment slightly by utilizing the B Aeolian mode (B C# D E F# G A) over Bm before moving back into G major pentatonic licks over G.
