Watch the Wilted Roses online guitar lesson by Andy Aledort from Jam Night Vol. 2

The Rolling Stones utilized their many different influences well, and, to many people, really hit their stride with the release of Beggars Banquet, followed by Let It Bleed and Sticky Fingers, all of which pulled heavily from the earthy sounds of country and blues mixed with edgy rock 'n' roll. This example emulates the country side of the band through a "Dead Flowers"-like progression of D (the tonic) to A to G to D. The subsequent chorus is just as simple, A to D twice followed by G to D three times.
