Watch the Home On The Grange online guitar lesson by Andy Aledort from Jam Night Vol. 1

No jam night would be complete without a good boogie tune, or two, thrown in to get the crowd riled up. Two of the most commonly played boogie tunes at open jams are "Roadhouse Blues" by The Doors and "La Grange" by ZZ Top. We can trace that boogie feel back to John Lee Hooker's very first single, "Boogie Chillen" (there are plenty of earlier examples as well), built from repeated upbeat accents. This jam is based around what is heard on ZZ Top's "La Grange."
