Watch the Bird 'n' Some Beast: Rhythm 2 online guitar lesson by Andy Aledort from Jam Night Vol. 1

Using a small-voicing approach throughout, I begin with an E major triad voiced on the top three strings in 12th position, and move down to a C#m triad voiced on the same string group using a B triad as a connection between the relative major and minor chords. From the C#m triad voiced with an index finger barre across the ninth fret of the top three strings, I easily transition to A by hammering onto the B string at the 10th fret and the G and/or D string at the 11th fret, which also affords opportunity for improvised embellishment.
