Watch the One Way Street: Rhythm 1 online guitar lesson by Andy Aledort from Jam Night Vol. 1

The form of "One Way Out" is essentially a 12-bar blues that is played in doubletime, resulting in a 24-bar blues by staying on each of the chords in the progression twice as long (eight bars instead of four, four bars instead of two, etc.). This first approach to rhythm guitar is intended as a basic hard-driving part that supports the rhythm section through the use of alternating root-fifth, root-sixth and root-seventh chords.
