Watch the Six Pack Solo 2 online guitar lesson by Chris Buono from Guitar Lab: Blues Soloing
Looking back at the first solo and the reasoning behind the few notes that were milked you can see how that concept spills over to this second solo, but jacked up an octave. At the same time this solo is all over the chromatic descending element contained within C#m7 and Cmaj7. In addition to the obvious root movement you can continue the descent by going down to a B over the Cmaj7 and that's exactly what happens between bars 3 and 4. Notice even while this new idea is played it's still integrated within the horizontal approach of the three tones outlined in the first solo.
