Though the overall tactics are simpler and more horizontal here, in For The Bird there are still plenty of sweet-sounding licks to gush over. It's not until this third chorus do you see the more obvious go-to approach for playing over the chromatic descending ii-V's in bars 7-8 as the first two choruses split them up for a more "divide and conquer" way of playing over those changes. Seeing this as a be-bop standard, there had to be a streaming 1/8 note run over the final I-vi-II-V somewhere within the three jams. Look over in bars 11-12 and you'll see just that - have at it!
