Watch the Ford-ward Solo 3 online guitar lesson by Chris Buono from Guitar Lab: Blues Soloing
Though Blues Soloing presents all kinds of important blanket-like concepts such as melodic voice leading, repetition and more; sometimes a cool lick is just a cool lick and you just gotta know it. Such is the case in bar 4 of this third chorus of Ford-Ward where you have a classic morphing of a major arpeggio (in this case B major) that involves a blues approved half step bend to a b3rd over a dom7 chord followed by a chromatic rise from the major 3rd to the 5th. Plain and simple and all theory aside: It's a must know. So, know it!
