Once you start to get down with playing an almost singular idea horizontally across these changes you'll then need to consider how to make that interesting and real. As we saw in the first solo you gotta make those chord tones come out at just the right junctures. But, a close second and sometimes even a leading concept is your phrasing, namely in the department of rhythm. While the rhythmic placement of the lines in this second solo is simple enough it's not predictable or uninteresting. Part of the reason why is the pocket is intact and when that's the case, the simplest ideas can take on a level of depth you never thought could exist.
