Watch the Back Pedaling Solo 2 online guitar lesson by Chris Buono from Guitar Lab: Blues Soloing

In this second solo over the Back Pedaling changes look for this recurring idea: bend and play! In bars 2-4 and 7-10 all the lick ideas kick off with a whole or half step bend and go from there. This is just one way to tie in your solos to create form and a sense of cohesion. So as not to sound monotonous, some creative and thoughtful phrasing to keep the solo interesting was employed. Add to that a dose of variety in the form of not making use of that idea at every turn and you have yourself a good solo built from a simple idea.
