Watch the South St. Pete in A 2 online guitar lesson by David Hamburger from Fingerstyle Blues Factory
This second chorus is meant to have a looser, more improvisational feel. Whenever we’re on the I chord in the first two lines, we’re laying down one of our Robert Johnson chords before answering with some kind of b5/minor pentatonic double stop lick. In measure 5-6 we’re using the Hammerons and Pulloffs lick for the D7. We kick off the last four bars with the second half of the Rolling With Some Sixths lick, play Mississippi Stop Time for the IV and wind up with the Son House, Somewhat turnaround.
