Watch the Rosedale Blues in E 1 online guitar lesson by David Hamburger from Fingerstyle Blues Factory

“Rosedale Blues” is a steady-thumb blues in E. In the first chorus, we come out of the gate with some rolling E7 moves and answer them with a double-stop figure. In the second line, we play some cool A7 licks which resolve, via a little E blues scale chromaticism, back the E7, which we then answer again with the same double-stop figure as in the first line. Finally, we use the Hubert Sumlin lick over B7 and A7 before wrapping up with a turnaround in 6ths.
