In this example we’re starting with a targeted note (in this case “E”) on the first string at the 12th fret, and sliding away from it or “Pulling” back towards the nut. The rhythms used are played in a “shuffle” feel like most traditional blues. This is achieved by playing 8th notes as if they were the first and third notes of a triplet. You’ll see how this can be combined with the Duane Allman “See-Saw” lick to achieve some really cool stuff!
