Watch the SECTION 5: Highways online guitar lesson by Jason Loughlin from Blues Connections: Minor

A highway is anything that allows you to connect positions. It could be a scale on a single string, running intervals like 3rds or 6ths up and down the neck, or arpeggio patterns. We're going to focus on scales on a single string since it's something we already reviewed, and it's the most common. This will help us connect all of our minor pentatonic modes and all of our blues scale modes. We'll learn a couple of ways to play this idea and then we'll work through a solo that connects all of our positions.
