Watch the Highway Connections online guitar lesson by Jason Loughlin from Blues Connections: Major

I’m going to pick two positions on the neck -- a point of origin and a point of destination. I'll connect the two using my sliding major pentatonic and my single string major scales. It’s important at this stage to have a clear idea of where you're going and visualizing the mode that you want to end up in before you get there. Try this with all different combinations of positions until you can easily link all of them together. Before you know it, you'll see the major pentatonic laid out for you all over the neck. I've included three backing tracks in three keys that vamp on one chord to get you started with working on your connections.
