We can use the sliding pentatonic pattern and know where the root, 2, 3, 5, and 6 are, so let's add our common passing tones. First, we'll add a chromatic passing tone between the 2 and 3. This is our b3. It can be used to ornament the 2 or 3 by treating it like an approach note.

Lastly, we'll add the b7. This note appears a half step above the 6. You can slide into it, bend into it, resolve to it, etc. When you start using extensions like the b7, 9, 11, and 13, they walk the line of feeling like a tension note or a chord tone. You'll just have to experiment with them.
