Stravinsky referred to this scale as the octatonic scale: jazz players like to refer to it as the whole-half diminished scale. Start on any note, move up 2 frets, then 1 fret, then 2, then 1, continue until you end up at the note you started with one octave higher. That's all there is to it. Pretty cool!
