Watch the Turnarounds online guitar lesson by Jeff McErlain from Blues Survival Guide: Rhythm Edition

Turnarounds usually come at the last two bars of a blues, they help "turn you around" to the top of the tune. Turnarounds are exceptionally important because they make great intros, turnarounds, and endings of blues tunes. The problem I had was that I only knew a handful of them until I discovered this method of methodically going through them. This exercise opened up my understanding of the fingerboard and chord voicings as well. Honestly if there is only one thing you get from this Survival Guide, this should be it. Not only do turnarounds become a breeze anywhere on the neck, you also now know a lot of very usable dom7 chord voicings. This is good stuff!
