Rhythmic sequencing is essentially repeating a rhythmic pattern as opposed to a melodic pattern. But often they go hand in hand. The repetition of a rhythm builds continuity in a solo and connects ideas. It is a very effective devise to have a handle on but often overlooked as something to work on.
