Watch the Boogaloo Rhythm 1 online guitar lesson by David Hamburger from Slide Shop
You may recognize this groove from Stevie Ray Vaughan's 1981 recording of Mary Had a Little Lamb, which he nicked from Buddy
Guy's arrangement of the same. Yet another take on this kind of arrangement crops up on Earl Hooker's 1968 recording, Two
Bugs and a Roach. Hooker was considered the guitarist's guitarist in Chicago; he played slide in standard tuning and mixed up
slide and standard guitar playing with seemingly unconscious ease.
