Watch the Tears Like Rain online guitar lesson by Kelly Richey from Blues Grit
Breakdown of Rhythm and Lead Guitar Solo Highlights. Make sure that you take your time and work each of these techniques solidly to make them your own. Practice both rhythm and lead guitar to the jam track included in this section. Take one technique each day, break it down and look for ways to incorporate it into your playing, across the board. If you are still working to master the “Flat Tire” approach, this is another excellent opportunity to create a “pentatonic exercise” where you add a muted up strum to each note before playing the note with a down strum. Don’t forget to warm up each day with at least one of the finger exercises, playing with a click to maintain your timing. Try to practice hard for 30 minutes a day, and then play to have fun. Never practice to the point of pain! When you feel like you’ve got these concepts down, move to the next song in this series.
