Watch the Slide In Slide Out online guitar lesson by Robert Renman from Blues Booster
Some players bend notes a lot, and that's definitely a big part of the blues. However, although I love bending strings, I often like to slide notes in and out. It's a simple way to add a certain feeling and emotion to your notes. It can sound similar to hammer-ons and pull-offs sometimes, but it is a different technique. I find it also very useful when playing with a swing feel. Spend time practicing scales and notes using this sliding technique, until becomes second nature and part of your expressive vocubulary.
