Watch the Swing It online guitar lesson by David Hamburger from Blues Alchemy

I learned most of what I know about swing and jump blues from teaching with Duke Robillard at the National Guitar Workshop. He's a walking encyclopedia of blues and swing guitar styles, and claims he learned most of it just by listening to records for up to ten hours a day and going out to play gigs every night, for years on end. His recreations of the T-Bone Walker sound are uncanny, but he's also a big fan of less well-known musicians like tenor guitarist Tiny Grimes and Louis Jordan sideman Bill Jennings.
