Watch the Minor Blues online guitar lesson by David Hamburger from Blues Alchemy

This kind of call-and-response rhythm part really helps fill things out, but you have to pick your spots, since you're basically playing two guitar parts at once. That's great if it's just you, a bass player and a drummer, but if you're playing with another rhythm guitarist or a keyboard player, they may not dig it as much as you do. In which case, maybe back off and just play one part or the other - the chords and sliding chord fragments, or the percolating palm-muting riff.
