Watch the Memphis Soul online guitar lesson by David Hamburger from Blues Alchemy
Duane Allman soaked up B.B. King's sweet-and-salty mix of major and minor pentatonic sounds and found his own way to use it with the Allman Brothers Band's mix of blues and blues-inspired material. While he's recognized as one of the most essential and original voices of slide guitar, it's always seemed to me that as a non-slide guitarist, Allman may be the single most underrated blues-rock musician of the 1960s. I submit for your consideration "The Allman Brothers Band Live At The Fillmore East."
